Dr Sarvesh Tiwari completed his MBBS from the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences MUHS in 2003. He did his Diploma and subsequently DNB in Ophthalmology from the National Institute of Ophthalmology (NIO), Pune, in 2008. He completed his Longterm surgical Vitreoretina fellowship in 2010, from the Prestigious Aravind Eye Hospital Coimbatore. He worked as a Vitreoretina consultant in Aravind Eye hospital, Pondicherry, for a year & has been working as a Vitreoretina consultant in Sankara eye hospital since last 3 years
Till date, he has performed more than 5000 Vitreo retinal surgeries and procedures, and has a keen interest in the field of Diabetic Retinopathy, Age related Macular Degeneration, Degenerative Retinal disorders and Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP).
His surgical expertise encompasses wide range of vitreoretinal disorders like Retinal Detachment, Macular Hole, Epiretinal membrane, Ocular trauma, Penetrating ocular injuries, Vitreous Hemorrhage, Intraocular foreign bodies
His work has also been recognized by the Central Government as he was invited as a guest ophthalmic surgeon by the Ministry of Railways , Government of India, to operate on the prestigious “LIFELINE EXPRESS” Worlds first Hospital on Rails, twice.. First in Jan 2008 at Hingoli, Maharashtra, and again in May 2008 at Atgaon, Maharashtra, where he performed more than 200 surgeries.
He has also served as a teaching faculty to PG students in Aravind Eye hospital and AIOS (All India Ophthalmological society) PG training programs. He has also contributed in a lot of research work by being part of various clinical trials and also presented papers in local and National conferences.
